Dear Friend of the Bar: The Paul C.
Perkins Bar Association ("PCPBar") seeks to promote diversity in the legal profession through fostering and rewarding
law student achievement. PCPBar is proud to continue its support of the efforts funding scholarships through our "Las
Vegas Night" extravaganza. As you know, college costs are rising and access to financial aid is diminishing for our nation’s
disadvantaged youth. Specifically, the costs of attending law school make it impossible or difficult for new attorneys to
focus their careers on government or public interest jobs. The Paul C. Perkins Bar Association is aware of the need in the
Central Florida community to provide legal assistance to many who will not be able to afford legal counsel. Therefore, we
annually raise funds to support the law students at the Barry University School of Law and Florida A&M University Law
School. "Las Vegas Night" is the
Paul C. Perkins Bar Association’s annual fundraiser and has proven to be our most successful charitable event, as well
as an exciting and fun-filled evening for our attendees. In addition to the "funny money" casino-style gambling,
this year’s offering will also feature a charity auction featuring the best of Central Florida’s dining and shopping
venues and valuable autographed sports memorabilia. Our goal is to raise $10,000.00 and award up to four (4) scholarships.
We need your support!
We would like to personally
invite you and your company to participate in this worthwhile effort both as a sponsor/supporter and attendee. Enclosed, please
find a copy of our Sponsorship Form if you would like to make a monetary contribution. In addition, we are providing
you with a copy of the Silent Auction Donation Form to support the event. Giving levels begin at just $250.00 and will have
a great impact on the success of our event. Gift cards, donated items, and/or services in any amount would be greatly appreciated
for our silent auction.
On behalf of the Paul C. Perkins Bar Association, we thank you in advance for your participation
in this year’s event. The deadline for submission is extended to May 12, 2008. For more information,
please feel free to contact Donell Hicks at DHicks@ConroySimberg.com or at (407) 481-5575. We look forward to seeing you in
"Las Vegas." Respectfully, Donell
Andre Hicks, Esq., Chairperson Aramis Donell, Esq., President
